Linux 2.6.36 per Ubuntu Lucid

Gli utenti di Ubuntu Lucid Lynx (10.04) possono installare il nuovissimo kernel 2.6.36 dal mio repository best-intel. Il kernel funziona correttamente anche per le schede video Nvidia a patto di installare gli ultimi driver disponibili dal PPA x-updates. Non ho invece potuto testarlo per le schede ATI con driver proprietari.

L’occasione è anche per annunciare che per un po’ i miei repository per Lucid continueranno ad essere aggiornati visto che per ora continua a usare questa versione.

Eventuali cambiamenti in tal senso saranno annunciati su questo blog con anticipo.

 

Users of Ubuntu Lucid Lynx can install the brand new Linux kernel v. 2.6.36 adding my best-intel PPA. This kernel works fine with Nvidia gfx cards, but you need to upgrade the driver adding x-updates PPA. I cannot test it with ATI cards working with FGLRX (proprietary) driver.

My lucid-related PPAs will be update for a while because I’m still using Lucid. When this will change, I’ll let you know in advance.
